As a small outside of NYC gallery I did Bridge Miami twice (2006, 2007) and Bridge Chicago once. The Chicago version was a nightmare. Housed in the same mart as Art Chicago the entire merchandise mart experience was a fiasco. Miami was good the first year, there was money in the market. The fact that the Bridge people had no idea what they were doing was covered up by the great art economy. The following year their abilities showed their true colors and the fair was a disaster. I saw that Workman just jump started a new fair in Miami called Verge.I would be very careful as his group is not art world saavy.

the one in NYC was very dismal. The bottom line to get in was the fee, and after seeing 5-10 mediocre or below par booths, akin to something at the Javitts, it gave me vertigo. It was somewhere between a bad BFA show, and lame ass corporate art.
